According to Fox 28, about 2:30 a.m., Columbus police were called to the Marathon Gas Station at 3464 Sullivant Avenue on the report of a shooting. Police found Maxx A. McDaniel critically hurt from a gunshot wound to his head.
Police report that Franklin Township Medic 192 was called to the scene and pronounced McDaniel dead at 2:43 a.m.
Police investigation produced a suspect, later identified as Pierre C. Darty, who was found and arrested at 698 Wedgewood Drive. Police charged Darty with murder for McDaniel’s death.
