Lila Perry is a 17 year old transgender teen that has started to appear as a woman in public and is now fighting to use the women’s restroom at her high school. According to ACBonyourside Perry attends Hillsboro High School in Missouri and has been wearing skirts, makeup and a long wig styled with bobby pins. Perry was offered a single-occupancy restroom but has decided to use the girls locker room to change for gym class etc.
Perry told a CNN affiliate
“I am a girl. I am not going to be pushed away to another bathroom, It wasn’t too long ago white people were saying, ‘I don’t feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with a black person’ and history repeats itself.”
Some students have complained and said that they felt uncomfortable because Perry still has male anatomy leading to protest and national attention.
