“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” made a lasting impact on viewers during its 1990-96 run (along with turning Will Smith into a superstar), and continues to attract new viewers today through reruns. With reports of a possible reboot earlier this year, lots of fans got excited at the possibility of seeing some of the surviving cast members return and reprise the characters they’ve fallen in love with.
Recently, however, Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Carlton Banks on the beloved sitcom and slated to take over as the new host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” this month on ABC, shot down the possibility of the project, whether its a reunion or a reboot. He went on “The View” to set those reports straight with some of the hosts.
