The hits keep coming for Johnny Manziel.
Money Manziel has been indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge by a Dallas County Grand Jury, notes CBS.
The 23-year-old quarterback is accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley several times while driving from a bar in Dallas to her home in Fort Worth. She claimed Manziel hit her so hard, he burst her eardrum.
According to police records, Crowley attempted to jump out of the moving car. But when she did, Manziel dragged her back into the vehicle. Crowley said the former Cleveland Brown then told her he was going to kill both her and himself if she didn’t stop crying.
Police said they spoke to Crowley, but made the unusual step of not arresting Manziel and presented the case to a grand jury instead.
The announcement is expected to occur Monday, according to The Dallas Morning News, and Manziel could face up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
