It appears likely that Columbus voters will be asked to raise their property taxes in November. A citizen committee is recommending two levy proposal. They would boost taxes by nearly 18-percent! Much of the new money would be spent on maintaining the district’s buildings. There’s no word yet on whether a bond issue for new school construction will appear on the ballot.
