“This election has been different. I’ve never seen anything like it in my lifetime,” the 58-year-old said. “The separation, the negativity, the bullying, the dividing of people, people being angry and fighting, it’s just been horrible. It looks like a reality television [show].”
Trump’s known for his problematic behavior which includes accusing African-Americans of milking the system, calling Mexican immigrants “rapists” and “criminals,” wanting to ban all Muslims from entering the United States and calling women “pigs.” Behavior that E. herself finds to go against the principles and morals of America.
“This country was based on all Americans. Immigrants, Natives, straight, gay, it doesn’t matter ethnicity you [are], this country was founded on the people,” “The Glamorous Life” singer emphasized. “So we as Latin and African-American people, we need to go out and vote. If we want change, we have to go out and vote. It’s just not going to come to us.”
For E., supporting Clinton is what she believes will prosper all Americans.
“She would make an incredible and amazing President. I think she can do great things for this country and unite us as the other opponent is not doing that,” she added. “Clinton understands what needs to happen for us as a people to bring us together,” she concluded.
Sheila E. recently showed her support for Clinton by bringing down the house at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia as she performed “La Cuna” with Latin Jazz percussionist Pete Escovedo.
