According to Radar Online:
In the filing obtained from the U.S. District Court for the Northern Division of Georgia, Burruss, 40, is accusing him of attempting to “intentionally malign Defendants’ reputation and harm their reputation and public persona through false and malicious accusations.”
Burruss claims Winston, who owns his own event planning company, tried to gain free publicity by “creating a false story line to stay relevant on the nationally and internationally broadcast cable television show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Johnnie Winston is the young man that went to Phaedra Parks on the show (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) to seek out law advice and Phaedra referred him to another lawyer. On the advice of his referred counsel Winston filed an unpaid wages lawsuit against Burruss for allegedly unpaid overtime.
Kandi Burruss sat in for Rickey Smiley, host of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, today were she talked about Johnnie Winston’s lawsuit against her and the implications in front of cameras on the RHOA that he was paid ruffly around $2.00 an hour was just going too far and attacks her reputation, in other words, defamation of character.
