The weekend of June 10th was a violent one in Columbus with several shooting around town.  None of the incidents around town were fatal but many were injured and treated at area hospitals.

June 11th 7:37am

One person was reported shot on the 300 block Avondale Avenue on the West side of Columbus.  The victim has been identified as Carl Papalevich and was taken to Mount Carmel West to be treated for a gunshot to the stomach.  Papalevich is reported in critical condition.  Police have no suspect at the time.

 

June 11th 2:22pm

Reports of shooting near Eastland Mall were reported Sunday afternoon at 2:22pm.  Two people were injured and were both taken to Grant Medical Center.  One is in serious condition and one is in critical condition. A full investigation is underway by Columbus Division of Police.

 

June 11th 3:22pm

Columbus Division of Police responded to a shooting inside the Columbus Metropolitan Library on South Grant Avenue.  The shooting was allegedly sparked after an argument started from a guest bumping into another.  Police have one suspect in custody and the victim was treated at Grant Medical Center.  Columbus Police told WBNS that the suspect will be charged with two charges of felonious assault.
