A deserving honor to a hometown hero.
Today is a big day for Rihanna as she is getting a street in her home country of Barbados named after her. Though rain showers stalled the ceremony, Rihanna’s family and fans have lined Rihanna Drive to watch the singer accept the honor.

The Government of Barbados officially changed Westbury New Road to Rihanna Drive. Rihanna lived in Barbados until she was 16-years-old when she was discovered by rapper Jay-Z. Though she has since moved her family out as well, Rihanna has always called Barbados her home.
