There is a new drama that is inspired by the life of Don Cornelius that’s on the way. It will be titled, American Soul, and will follow the personal trials and professional successes of a young, ambitious and troubled public figure.

It runs 10 episodes, unapologetic look at Cornelius, his Soul Train Dancers, his crew and musicians, in a cutthroat Hollywood in the 1970’s. . Don’s son, Tony Cornelius, will co-exec produce alongside Andy Horne.
