Columbus City Schools students sent home early for the third time in a week due to heat. Some of the schools are not equipped with central A/C and as of noon today, some of the classrooms reached 94 degrees with the windows open and several fans blowing.

Some parents are not able to leave work so the City of Columbus officials have made sure to open some rec centers. The Beatty, Dodge, Far East and Whetstone Community Centers were made open until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
