A local nursing home is being blamed for a loved one’s death.
A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against a Columbus nursing home after a man died in their care. Whetstone Care Center is being blamed by the family of the man who died, James Chandler, in the lawsuit.
On Feb. 14, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced that the nursing was being charged with involuntary manslaughter and patient neglect.
“This man literally rotted to death and it could’ve been prevented,” Yost said.
A representative with the nursing home argued patients did not receive inappropriate care and will fight the lawsuit.
