The Queen of Columbus Zoo and the first gorilla born in a zoo, Colo, celebrated her 60th birthday on Thursday. Just like royalty, hundreds of people gather to sing Happy Birthday to the gorilla and watch her open her gifts and eat treats.
Among her many fans, local celebrities like Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer wished Colo a Happy Birthday.
The average life span of a female gorilla is 38-years-old. As of today, Colo is marked as the oldest gorilla in the world. Long live the queen!
