Cirque Du Soleil has revealed the above poster and below set sketches for its upcoming show celebrating the music of Michael Jackson.
“Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” will kick off in in Montreal in October 2011 and hit such cities as New York, Miami, Philadelphia and Los Angeles before ending up with a permanent home at the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas in late 2012.
The joint production from Cirque and the MJ Estate, with each sharing 50% of the profits, is being billed as a combination of “Jackson’s music, thrilling choreography and visual effects.”
A select number of tickets are being sold to fan clubs of Michael Jackson and Cirque Du Soleil starting Wednesday. The rest go on sale Saturday.
This project has received blessings from Michael’s mom Katherine Jackson.
