The Cleveland Browns (3-13) are starting their fourth quarterback of the season on Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens (11-5).
Browns fans shouldn’t be all that surprised.
The Cleveland Browns have announced that QB Bailey Zappe will start his first game of the season this Saturday afternoon against the Ravens.
Zappe is in his third year in the NFL and spent his first two seasons with the New England Patriots. In 14 games Zappe has completed 63.2% of his passes, and thrown for 11 touchdowns against 3 interceptions.
Zappe will try to beat the Ravens, who are favored by 20 points according to ESPN. That’s the largest point spread of this NFL season.
The Browns have played the most quarterbacks in the NFL since their reintroduction to the league in 1999. And honestly, it’s not even all that close.
