“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and singer/songwriter Kandi Burruss has received an early Christmas present from Asylum Records.  Joining former 112 member Slim and Ginuwine, Burruss officially inked a deal with Asylum for the release of her anticipated album “B.L.O.G.” recently.  Slated for release February 2010, Burruss tells BV Buzz she’s excited about the new album (her first in ten years).  “I’m really excited about my new deal and releasing myCD to the masses. People got to hear some of my new music on the ‘Real Housewives’ show, but I’ve got so many more hits that I can’t wait to put out,” said Burruss. While the prospect of the new deal and forthcoming album is enough to smile about, Burruss admits the road to Asylum was not easy.

“After my Capitol (Records) situation didn’t work out, I released my EP on itunes and it performed very well. But now I’m excited about dropping my full-length CD in 2010.” Burruss’ last album, “Hey Kandi” was released in 2000, spawning the hit single “Don’t Think I’m Not.”
