R&B Divas (Atlanta) will return for a second season in May, and to celebrate, TV One is naming the month of April “Destination Divas” to honor your favorite divas with sitcoms, original specials, and classic movies and reruns of R&B Divas season one.
The original specials begin on April 13th on 9PM with R&B Divas Pre-Party, a recap of season one R&B Divas and a preview of season two. On April 20th at 8 PM, the network will air Diana Ross: Live in Central Park, the legendary concert in 1983 when the diva pushed through a performance in a torrential downpour as to not to disappoint fans. The last special, Top R&B Divas of All Time, will air on April 27th at 9PM, and highlight the top 10 female vocalists and performers of our time. R&B Divas from both Atlanta and L.A. will commentate during the program.
Diana Ross, Chaka Kahn, Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson, Patti LaBelle, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé and Rihanna are among those highlighted, but tune in that Saturday to see in which order TV One ranks them.
