COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Ohio State University is building a $190,000 office suite for retired president Gordon Gee and an assistant.

The Dayton Daily News reports Wednesday (http://bit.ly/15w9iXE) that construction on the Page Hall office begins next month.

Ohio State spokesman Gary Lewis says the goal is to complete the project by late September or early October.

Lewis says Gee will become a tenured professor in the nearby Moritz College of Law as part of his retirement package, which is not yet finalized.

Lewis says details on how the suite will be funded are still being worked out.

The 69-year-old Gee retired July 1, a month after remarks became public that he made months earlier jabbing Notre Dame, Roman Catholics and Southeastern Conference schools. SOURCE
