Jet Magazine has catered to the African American Community as a one stop source for news and information for over 50 years.  John Johnson founded the historic publication in November 1951.  Coming up in June 2014 Jet Magazine will cease publication (as paper).  Jet Magazine is set to enter the digital age as it will only be available by digital app.

Johnson Publishing C.E.O Desiree Rogers (pictured above) says the move will launch on June 30th and the app will cost $20 per year. According to The Publishers Information Bureau Jet is the third most popular magazine amongst African-Americans.  Total circulation is approximately 720,000.

No changes are planned at John Publishing owned Ebony Magazine….yet.
