You’ve heard of crowdfunding right? It’s where you create a project and ask for funding online (hence the crowd) to help get the project off the ground. For your funding you may get perks, privileges and or discounts.
So, potato salad? Yes, Columbus’ Zack Danger Brown is running a successful crowdfunding campaign to make potato salad. He goal was $10 and as of today he’s raised over $1,500 with 27 days to go.
As absurd as it seems there is a lesson to be learned here. Zack is very thorough in his project, he has included stretch goals, an FAQ section and appears to very transparent in his goals.
So if you’re thinking of using crowdfunding to raise money, consider Zack’s project as a template for success.
