According to Fox 28, Impact Community Action has started its Winter Crisis Program to make sure people can pay their electricity bill.
It’s a program that came just in the nick of time for a West Columbus woman. Tosha Moye lost her job last year after she badly injured her shoulder.
She then learned she has Stage 2 breast cancer, and underwent a hysterectomy two weeks ago. Moye says the threat of having her power and heat turned off almost sent her over the edge.
But then she learned about Impact Community Action, and how to get help paying her power bill. She says the program has changed her life.
