Director of the recently released film “Beyond The Lights,” Gina Prince-Bythewood penned an open letter to encourage movie goers to support her critically acclaimed love story. The film opened on November 14th and has grossed a disappointing $13 million as of December 3rd; the production budget was $7 million. “Beyond The Lights” stars Nate Parker as a police officer who falls for a pop-star played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw after he prevents her from committing suicide.
