According to Fox 28, two men have reunited with a woman they helped save from a burning car. David McKim and James Yontz visited Candis Brown at Grant Medical Hospital for the first time since she was involved in a deadly crash. The crash killed two others.
McKim and Yontz saved Brown and another woman who is currently at OSU Wexner Medical center with injuries. The heartfelt reunion brought Brown, McKim and Yontz to tears.
Brown recalled yells and screams she heard when the crash happened on I-70 West and I-270. She distinctly remembers her best friend yelling “Save Me”, sadly she didn’t make it.
McKim says he will be lifelong friends with Brown. Brown, who has a small child and lifelong partner, says she’s thankful to be alive and see her family.
Police are still investigating what caused the driver to lose control.
