CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (WOIO) – The race is on to save 14 neglected horses and 5 rabbits removed from a home on West Bath road.

Thursday, Feb.19, humane officers and Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary staff went to an address in the 400 block of West Bath Road to rescue the animals.

Officials say all of the animals on the property were found without adequate food, water or shelter. The water was frozen, there was only enough hay for two horses and a lot of the animals were in need of immediate medical care.

The horses were placed in foster care while the rabbits were taken to PAWSibilities in Akron for the time being.
