John Singleton Drops Tupac Biopic Gig And Tells Us Why Via Social Media

I know I wasn’t the only excited to see that super director John Singleton had signed on for the Tupac biopic, and I can’t be mad at him either for dropping the project.  Why because he is keeping it real….

“The reason I am not making this picture is because the people involved aren’t really respectful of the legacy of Tupac Amaru Shakur.”

Singleton went to social media to let fans know why he dropped out his that he is making other plans for his own project.

“They have no true love for ‘Pac so this movie will not be made with love,” he said. “And that’s why my ass isn’t involved! If Tupac knew what was going on he’d ride on all these fools and take it to the streets…but I won’t do that. I’ll just make my own project.”

Sounds like the people behind this project were in for it for the money.  Are we surprised?  I’ll wait for Singletons movie to come out!

How you gonna make a movie about a man when you suing his mother to get the rights to tell his story?! They have no true love 4 Pac so this movie will not be made with love! And that’s why my ass isn’t involved ! If Tupac knew what was going on he’d ride on all these fools and take it to the streets… But I won’t do that … I’ll just make my own project.
