According to CNN a manhunt is underway in Virginia for a 41 year old man named Vester L. Flanagan for questioning of a shooting that took place this morning killing television reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward.
Parker and Ward were live on air when a shooter approached them from behind and opened fire. Ward fell to the ground and dropped his camera but was still broadcasting live on air as he captured the shooters face. Shots continued killing Parker and injuring Vicki Gardner who is in the hospital.
A profile under the name Bryce Williams (Flanagan’s legal name) on Twitter and Facebook posted after the shooting videos of the shootings and messages linking him to the killings.
Details are slowly coming in to the connection between Flanagan and the journalist. Flanagan used to work as a reporter at WDBJ and according to the post on social media was disgruntle after being fired from the television station.
UPDATE: August 26, 2015 at 11:45am according to CNN Law Enforcement have said that the suspect gunman Vester L. Flanagan has shot himself.
