CLEVELAND – A Cleveland council member wants to increase the legal age in which smokers can purchase cigarettes in the city to age 21.
That’s among other changes Joe Cimperman is asking city council to implement.
Cimperman proposed in a Health and Human Services Committee meeting Monday that Cleveland raise the legal limit of purchasing tobacco from 18 to 21. That includes alternative nicotine products like e-cigarettes.
