According to Fox 28, a mother is hoping her Facebook post will fulfill what her 17-year-old autistic son looks forward to everyday.

“Something so simple as just a 50 cent card. 50 cents for a stamp, a dollar, just to make a child’s day,” said Amanda Miller, who is the mother of Kalib Stephens.

Kalib Stephens looks forward to checking the mailbox everyday. His mother says he checks it five times everyday, hoping to see his name on an envelope. A simple thing, that makes him smile.

It’s the reason why Amanda says she decided to post a message on Facebook, asking people to send her son Christmas cards. Amanda says she gets Facebook messages everyday, some even from Australia.

“It’s worth to put my address online, to put my telephone online, I don’t care. Anything just to see a smile on his face,” said Miller.

So far Kalib has gotten more than 10 Christmas cards. Amanda has an empty wall next to her Christmas tree that she says she hopes to fill with Christmas cards to Kalib.

Miller says she wants to start what could become a Christmas card chain. She says she will send a Christmas card to children who want one, she says she’ll also send one to adults who might be lonely during the holidays.

Miller setup a facebook page for Kalib. If you’re interested in sending him a Christmas card go to

http://www.facebook.com/Cards4Kalib or you can simply send the card to Kalib Stephens, 401 Avondale Ave. Marion, Ohio 43302.
