In 2015 over 4000 children were rushed to the hospital for symptoms caused by consuming edible marijuana. This alarming number is steadily increasing now that marijuana is legal in 24 states and D.C. making it easier for children to get their hands on. But most children have no idea they are consuming the drug, why? Because most children are consuming it in the edible candy form without even knowing it’s harmful.
Edible marijuana candy and baked good can be found in many stores where it’s legal and children are finding at their homes, in school or in public places and are eating it because it looks like a regular sweet treat. These accidental issues are on the rise and have been poisoning many children causing parents to rush them to the hospital.
Police are issuing warnings to parents and encouraging them to take extra precautions with their edibles so children do not mistakenly eat them. Check out the video for my in depth information
