We are following reports from CNN and other news outlets that have confirmed the passing of legendary PBS journalist, Gwen Ifil, at the age of 61. Ifil suffered from cancer and sadly lost her battle with this terrible disease today.
Many remember Ifil as the moderator of multiple Vice Presidential debates including the memorable 2008 matchup between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. She was also the host of PBS Newshour and Washington Week. She will be remembered as one of the most prominent African American journalist of her time.
