Today is World AIDS Day. More Americans are being diagnosed with HIV in their 50s and 60s. One-in-three people diagnosed with HIV in 2008 was over 50 years old.  The reason has to do with people who were diagnosed in the 80s and 90s living longer thanks to HIV medications, and the increasing number of sexually active adults over the age of 65.
