GOP congressmen and women want to repeal the Affordable Care Act but are scare to look in the face of their constituents while doing so.

With the media showing intense town hall meetings across the country, many politicians are choosing to stay home instead of facing the heat for those who may or may not have voted for them. Same happen here in Ohio on Tuesday and Wednesday, constituents seeking town halls demonstrated at the offices of U.S. Sen. Rob Portman and U.S. Reps. Bob Gibbs, Mike Turner, Bob Latta and Steve Chabot, all Republicans.

Many angry by the no-shows went to social media to post their frustrations. The hashtag #TiberTownHall was trending Wednesday night on Twitter when Rep. Pat Tiber couldn’t face the 12th district constituents. A petition on was created to demand access to the congressional representatives. Others used more creative approaches to finding the missing representatives.

Many of the representative’s spokesperson blame “busy schedule” for their absents to town hall meetings.
