Salute to the new triple-double King!
Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook just did something we never thought we will see ever done. That was beat NBA legend Oscar Robertson’s 42 triple-double record.
Robertson’s record has been even close to being touch since he set the record back in the 1961-62 NBA season. The legend says he is happy that someone finally beat his record and even penned a piece for The Undefeated about the historic moment.
“I could not be happier for him. Congratulations to Russell Westbrook on a magnificent season!” Robertson wrote.
Westbrook record a 50-point, 16-rebound, 10-assist game and sunk the game-winning 3-point shot to beat the Denver Nuggets. Next, the Thunder player will be up for MVP of the Year award which many are calling a sealed deal for him to win. Do you think Westbrook has sealed the MVP award or does Houston Rockets’ James Harden still have a chance?
