It’s kind of hard to fathom when the founder of the company, Jeff Bezos, is worth an estimated $98.8 billion dollars but it does happen. Amazon currently employs about 6,000 workers in the state of Ohio and about 700 workers receive food benefits. That’s a little more than 10% of its workforce. In order to make the list, a company has to employ a large amount of workers and have an immense amount of workers that do not make much money or are employed part time. Amazon has not responded to the list as of yet.

According to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, here is the top 10 employers on that list:

  1. Walmart;11,560
  2. McDonald’s;9,927
  3. Kroger;5,051
  4. Bob Evans;3,541
  5. Wendy’s;3,581
  6. Dollar General;3,211
  7. Goodwill;2,843
  8. Taco Bell;2,748
  9. Speedway;2,734
  10. Burger King;2,503
