LGBTQ community has brought this issue up many times now the city is putting it into action.
Franklin County’s Municipal Court has come up with a program to address domestic violence in the LGBTQ community. The program was three years in the making and was shaped to address domestic issues that are not the same as in heterosexual relationships.
The program will include assessment, psychotherapy and group therapy. The goal is to help prevent LGBTQ people from going to jail, and be a guide to creating a healthy relationship which isn’t always addressed in the community.
