With early game struggles the Blue Jackets were able to pull away with the win.

The Columbus Blue Jackets were able to win Game 1 against the Washington Capitals in an exciting 4-3 finished in overtime.

Real talk, we were looking like a hot mess and allowed the Capitals to take a 2-0 lead in the first period. Columbus forward Josh Anderson was ejected from the game after being served boarding and game misconduct.

Blue Jacket’s Seth Jones tied the game in the third period 3-3 sending it into overtime.  Artemi Panarin pulled through for Columbus hitting the game-winning shot.

Game 2 is Sunday in Washinton D.C.
