The United States has let a Air Craft Carrier send a message to the Iran Military. Iran was planning an attack on the US military personnel in the region. The Us responded by allowing the USS Abraham Lincoln to launch an attack on the Iran military. They wanted to send a message to the Iran government although, the US is not seeking war with Iran.
According to ABC News National Secuirty Advisor John Bolton said “to send a clear and unmistakable message to the Iranian regime that any attack on United States interests or on those of our allies will be met with unrelenting force.”
“The United States is not seeking war with the Iranian regime, but we are fully prepared to respond to any attack, whether by proxy, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or regular Iranian forces,”.
The aircraft carrier was sent to the region effective immediately Sunday, May 5th, 2019. The sanctions on Iran were tightened recently on their oil exportation. The USS John Stennis has also been moving around the Persian golf. The stories are being updated as the US government decide what other actions to take on the situation.
