JILL SCOTT AND COMMON GETTING POETIC AT THE WHITE HOUSE!
Common and Jill Scott will be at the White House today for a celebration of poetry being hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. Jill and Common will recite poems along with acclaimed poets including Rita Dove, Kenneth Goldsmith and Alison Knowles.
FYI: Last November, Common hosted a huge rally in Chicago’s Hyde Park for President Obama and Democratic Party candidates who were running for Senate and the House.
