COLUMBUS, Ohio – A construction worker was struck and killed on Tuesday morning on the southwest side.
According to police, a person was struck in a construction zone at Interstate 270 at Georgesville Road around 9 a.m.
The Ohio Department of Transportation said that the person killed was an employee of Shelly and Sands. He was working behind the concrete barrier near the Georgesville exit ramp from I-270 north.
The name of the person killed was not immediately released.
