Oprah Winfrey (pictured right), known for giving away hordes of money to multiple humanitarian causes, has now reportedly added her long-lost half-sister, Patricia Lofton, to the mix by purchasing a $490,000 home in Wisconsin for her, according to People Magazine.

Winfrey had Lofton appear on her 2011 network talk show after first learning of her existence just one year before. The pair share the same mother, Vernita Lee. When Lofton appeared on Winfrey’s show, the mogul told her audience that meeting her half sibling was “one of the greatest surprises of my life.”

The 60-year-old chat show queen allegedly not only splurged for a house for Lofton but has also financed her education, People Magazine states.

Lofton, who is nine years younger than Winfrey, had aspirations of continuing her education to become a social worker. An unnamed Winfrey spokesperson told People that the billionaire wants to help her sister realize her goal: “Oprah wants to support that dream.”

Winfrey and her baby sis appeared together last year on an episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter” on the OWN network. On the televised segment, the women appeared close and it was apparent they had forged an unshakable union. Winfrey seems over-the-moon excited that she has a sister who is not only loving but supportive of her. Lofton told the “Next Chapter” viewers, “I think she’s just been a remarkable human being,” the woman said of her big sis.

Meanwhile, Winfrey said of Lofton, ”That was a new experience for me…to be in a relationship with somebody who actually didn’t want anything but was just there to be supportive of me. So, it’s been really great. Really great.”
