According to Fox 28/ABC 6, a central Ohio mother is facing charges after police say she helped her boyfriend rape her eight-year-old daughter. The couple faced a judge Monday morning after their north Linden neighbors said the little girl confided in them this weekend and asked them to call police.
ABC 6/FOX 28 will not report the suspected mother’s name to prevent her daughter from being identified.
Saturday, a neighbor called 911 to report the sexual abuse. Detectives say the eight-year-old described multiple attacks in her own mother’s bedroom. They say she told them her mother would hold her down and slapped her if she moved as her mother’s boyfriend, Alberto Hernandez, raped her.
Neighbors commended the little girl’s strength in coming forward. Her mother denied the allegations in court.
The Judge set a $1,000,000 bond for the mother and a $2,000,000 for Hernandez.
The girl’s father spoke with ABC 6/FOX 28 and said his daughter is now safe in his care.
