Faith- Based Movie War Room Is A Hit

As a Christian, it made my heart happy to see that War Room was the #2 movie at the box office its first weekend in theaters. In a world full of negativity, haters and a “crabs in a barrel” mentality, it was quite refreshing to watch a movie that was encouraging and spoke to my spirit.

War Room is a movie about a family going through the motions and a marriage on the brink of failure. On the outside, the Jordan’s seem to have it all…nice jobs, cars, home and a child. We all know looks can be deceiving… Mrs. Jordan’s chance encounter with a prayer warrior (Miss Clara,) changed the whole direction of their lives. It is very cliché to say that prayer changes everything, but it is a very accurate depiction of how it helped guide this family back to life.

This film had me cracking up and in tears. It is a beautiful portrayal of the power of prayer and how strong faith can make the impossible, possible again. I walked away from War Room totally energized and hopeful that God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above anything I could ask or think. I trust that I now have a better strategy to fight and win any battle I encounter. This is a must see movie for all families!

I give this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars.
