According to Fox 28, Reynoldsburg Police asked parents to check their children’s Halloween candy after a razor blade was found in a candy bar.

The disposable blade was found Thursday night after a group of pre-teenage kids went trick-or-treating in a neighborhood in the area of Kingsley Drive and Taylor Rd., Lt. Shane Mauger said.

Police were told one of the kids a bit into a “fun size” Snickers bar and discovered the blade. No injuries were reported.

The Snickers’ wrapper had been tampered with, he said.

Police weren’t sure which home handed out the candy bar because the trick-or-treaters swapped candy, Mauger said.

Investigators haven’t given any indication the situation was a hoax.

ABC 6 and Fox 28 will update this developing story with additional details as they become available.
