AKRON, Ohio — More than two people have died after a plane crashed into an Akron home before slamming into an embankment Tuesday afternoon, according to the Akron Fire Department

Two of the victims were inside of the 10-passenger plane. However, the fire department says more than two have died.

At 2:54 p.m., the plane crashed into the home located at 3042 Mogadore Road, near Skelton Road.

The plane most likely hit power lines before crashing into the single-family home.

The debris from the crash caused the fire to spread to a second home.

Ohio State Highway Patrol deputies cannot confirm if there were other people on the plane.
