A Pennsylvania cafeteria worker quits over ‘lunch shaming’ policy posed by school district to recoup some $100,000 owed to the district. What is ‘lunch shaming’ you ask? Well, when a child has to pay for their lunch and refuse to do so (up to $25), the child gets their lunch taken away and given a smaller lunch or nothing at all! I thought there was a bill passed guaranteeing every child free lunch regardless of the parental income but I’m mistaken. Stacy Koltiska resigned last week from Wylandville Elementary School in the Canon-McMillan School District. She racalls taking a first grade student’s lunch, “His eyes welled up with tears. I’ll never forget his name, the look on his face.” I need to know….should students who are delinquent in lunch money balance have their lunch taken away? VOTE BELOW!!!
