Most who watched President Barack Obama’s farewell speech in Chicago answered to his call to action. Comedian Steve Harvey felt that he needed to sit with President-Elect Donald Trump and now people are not laughing.
Social media’s drag fest of the talk show host was serious when the media caught Harvey walking in the Trump Tower in NYC. Feeling the heat, he decided that he would explain why he felt the need to make a visit to the incoming president.
Crazy to see this happen right after Trump disrespected civil rights leader and Congressman John Lewis. Is Trump only interested in hearing from black people that are not holding him accountable for his actions and words?
It’s important to mention Harvey already has initiatives that help the black community like his The Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend for Young Men. However, we hope he also mentions in his meeting with Trump and Carson how damaging bringing Stop and Frisk in the black community, addressing the black community (not as his pets but as people), fixing poverty and education gap in inner cities and more.
