Samuel L. Jackson just said what many are saying once they heard the idiotic and ignorant comment Ben Carson made Monday afternoon.
Carson gave a speech yesterday where he was sharing what the American dream means to him. When sharing how immigrants come over to America for that dream, he tried (and I mean tried it) to compare immigrants and slaves as the same thing.
“A land of dreams and opportunity. There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great granddaughters might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land,” he told the crowd
NOT TODAY! Jackson was the first to hit Carson with an internet clapback that set up a firestorm on Twitter.
