Someone tried to come for the queen Serena Williams but now got herself in hot water. Following her big pregnancy announcement tennis legend Ilie Nastase racially insensitive comments about Williams unborn child.
NBC News reports Nastase, 70, made the comments during the playoff game between Romania and Great Britain for the Fed Cup.
“Let’s see what color it has. Chocolate with milk?” he was quoted by Romanian and British media as saying, purportedly in reference to Williams’ unborn child.
Now the International Tennis Federation released a statement saying “ that it doesn’t tolerate any type of discriminatory language” and has suspended Nastase. BBC reports this was just the straw that broke the camels back for the tennis legend has been under fire for previous bad behavior.
Moral of the story: Don’t you dare try to come for the Queen.
