It seems as though our girl MJB didn’t make a profit from filming “Mudbound.” Her recent divorce documents revealed  it, saying. “The film Mudbound, for example, has produced no net income for Petitioner, but has garnered her critical acclaim and award nominations/ Pursuant to the Mudbound contract, the expenses Petitioner was required to pay in connection with filming Mudbound were greater than her salary.”

Blige also claims in the documents that she does not own her music catalog and that she also owes over $25 million in advances she took over the years. Blige admits that a great part of her income comes from touring but she cannot do a world tour yearly because she is classified as a “legacy artist.” She claims her and Kendu were $12 million in debt before the divorce and she is working to pay it off but Kendu refuses to work and thinks that she is a bank.

We are rooting for you Mary! It’s Gonna get better.
