Are we really surprised at this point?

History likes to repeat itself. When it comes to white cop killing an unarmed black man, gets off scotch free and then gets his badge and gun again seems to stay on rerun.

Officer Blane Salamoni who didn’t receive any charges for killing unarmed black man Alton Sterling is now asking for his badge and gun back. NewsOne Now reports Salamoni is asking to appeal his dismissal from the Baton Rouge Police Department. Police Chief Murphy Paul said on Friday that Salamoni violated “training and organizational” standards but this hasn’t stop officers from getting back on the force in the past.

More than 450 officers out of 1,881 who appealed their termination were reinstated by the same department that fired them.
